Garden Hotel Suzhou is situated at Southeast of the picturesque Suzhou and adjacent to Canglang Pavilion, the Master-of-Nets Garden and the shopping street. As the only Chinese garden style villa, the hotel covers an area of 48, 000 m2 and owns 240 guest rooms including presidential villas, deluxe suites, mornal suites, and standard rooms in different levels.
The modern Garden Hotel is the former villa of Jiang Jieshi and Heyanong, where is also the former residence of Mrs.Yao Yicheng ( Jiang Jieshi' s second wife) and Jiang Weiguo (Jiang Jieshi' s youngest son).
On 1952, the hotel has became the accommodation of many country leaders and international celebrities such as the former American president Carter, secretary of state Kissinger, the Mrs. Thatcher, Japan premier kaifu toshiki, Jiang Zeming, Zhu Rongji, Li Peng, Zhou Enlai, Chenyi, Deng Xiaoping, etc.
